Welcome to the Stock Futurist!
Since I like to be straightforward and organized in my stock trading, I will try to organize my blog the same way. This website will be a synthesis of what my beliefs and their application to trading stocks is all about.
1. The trading ideas here are heavily influenced by my age and position in life. They aren’t written for the risk averse and the Investor.
2. This is a trading blog, highlighting my quest for income supplementation. I won’t be writing about long-term investments.
3. No matter your position in life, it is more important to fund your tax-advantaged accounts first and trade with what you have left over.
4. My goal is to put $10,000 into a standard account with a discount broker and actively trade with it. My 1-Year goal is to average $100.00 in after-tax realized income per week.
5. The money will be divided into four investment classes.
a. Short term, to be bought and sold on small gains.
b. Medium term, to be sold after pre-set percentage runs or earnings reports.
c. Long term, to maximize dividend revenues and cyclical growth throughout the year.
d. Multi-Year – long term buys in companies I believe in and emerging stocks that have immense room for growth.
6. My Golden Rule of investing will be to stay diversified in at least five different sectors.
7. I will have the internal fortitude to keep doing my homework, week in and week out in order to build my wealth.
8. I believe building wealth at a young age will enable me to do the things I love sooner rather than later.
9. As I become more adept at realizing income on a weekly basis, it will help to increase my independence.
